“Don’t hide your light under a bushel.” This well-known saying may have religious roots, don’t hide your faith, but it has universal application.
Literally, why hide an illuminating fact or resource when its application will be of use to others?
In a professional service context, accountants may have produced and delivered an outstanding piece of work for a client, but could this advice be relevant to other clients in their practice?

Use your regular communications with clients to showcase successes. You can do this without revealing protected client data.
Client and prospects will be interested in ways that you have stood up for taxpayers and triumphed over HMRC’s unwarranted investigations or corrected their mistakes.
You may have presided over the acquisition of a business, or sale of a business, both with satisfying outcomes for the relevant clients.
Don’t hide your professional successes from your clients and prospects, spread the word. This will give you a forum to communicate services you can offer – and hopefully sell to others in a similar position – and underline your competence as an advisor.
